Old Time Saturday - 2013

As Piglet, from the Winnie the Poo stories would say, "It was a blustery day" at Old Time Saturday. Many hands tried to tie down quilts, gazebo coverings and tables. After everything was set up the weather did not improve and several of the Quilts - On - A - Stick went flying. The decision was made to close the booth down. Several people were able to visit the booth and loved the displays. Our many thanks to Debi and the hard work that she put in with both the booth design and the mini quilt show we had. Next year we will add wind preparation and tie-downs to the list of supplies to bring.
This year we showed Quilts - On - A - Stick as a small mini quilt show. Member made small 10"x12" quilts and then fitted a vertical sleeve onto the backs. A large paint stick was used to hold them up. Each quilt was put into a unique container selected by the quilt maker. We had a people's choice vote to go along with the show. It was also the debut of our new raffle quilt.
