November 2016 Honors Veterans Day with Quilts of Valor


What a privilege and honor it was for the Farmersville Quilt Guild to present Seven 
Quilts of Valor to our North Texas veterans .
Thank you veterans for your service and your families for the sacrifices they've made.

On November 8th, 2016  in Farmersville, Tx. The Farmersville Quilt Guild presented Quilts of Valor to:

Mr.  Robert Riley - Navy WWWII - Wylie, TX - received quilt from Pat Beeler

Mr.  Zachery David Parr - Marines - Allen, TX - received quilt from Bonnie Smith

Mr.  Mark Schrimpf - Marines - Krum, TX - received quilt from Pat Beeler

Mr.  William C. Felts - Army - Denton, TX - received quilt from Debi (JR) Paustian

Mr.  Ronald Scott - Navy - Wylie, TX - received quilt from Janice Tower

Mr. Harry Clark - Caddo Mills, TX - received quilt from Janice Tower

Mr. Darrell Moore - Merit, TX - received quilt from Farmersville Quilt Guild’s members blocks.

On Veterans Day, Friday, November 11, 2016 Farmersville Quilt Guild presented two quilts at the Red River Valley Veterans Memorial to:

Mr. John O’Donnell - Marine - Paris, TX - received quilt from Pat Beeler
Mr. Tom D. Mallison, Jr. - Army - Paris, TX - received quilt from Lynn Hendrex

On December 3 or 4, 2016 Farmersville Quilt Guild will be presenting Quilts of Valor to Mr. Robert Buderus - Grapevine, TX - Army - quilt yet to be determined.

Other quilts to be given at unknown time & location:  Mr. Gene Newman - Army - Allen, TX & Mr. Timothy Drenkhahn - Navy - Arlington, TX.

This is William Gribble with his quilt of valor
I Janice had nominated him and Cathy Dettmann in Merkel sent me a quilt for him 
I gave it to him this weekend and my daughter delivered another one to his father in Dalworthington Gardens. 
I'll send that picture when she forwards it..
