Sewing Sisters,

Together we look forward to a successful year and hope that you will be willing to volunteer throughout the year with projects or activities.   We currently are working on a pillowcase project through Happiness is Quilting.  Contact Elizabeth to participate.  Elizabeth is also working on an Exploding Block quilt to display at the TAQG Rally Day.  If you would like to make a block or two (or three!) contact her.

The Farmersville Quilt Guild Executive Board met recently to put into place our committee/liaison structure as well as the meeting and activities for the coming year.

Community service

The home place of Johnny & Mary Smith, both deceased was burnt down Monday 7/23. Their son Randy Smith, was living there but was gone. Randy has a brother, Richard Smith, that lives up the road with his wife Karen who is a Guild member. Everything was a lost....Momento's & all (most pictures and old quilts were removed a few months back.) No one was home or hurt. Prayers are needed especially Randy & Richard as their house they grew up in is gone

JR & Kathy presented Randy with a Community quilt the Guild members made just 2 days after the fire.
Hoping the quilt will give him some comfort & know we care
