April Meeting Will "Sew" Knock You Out!

The April 10, meeting was so much fun. Thanks to Bonnie, Becky and Donna for their great patterns. Everyone brought the supplies needed to finish their project including: sewing machines, fat quarters, batting and basic sewing items. Small, cute zipper bags, a small trash bag and a star pot holder were the three projects that were done. Next month we hope to see some wonderful "Sew and Tell".

A highlight was a special visitor from New Mexico. We've missed you Gena!!
Gena surprises the guild.

We've Got A Winner Winner!
Carla Jones from Nevada is now the proud owner our first raffel quilt. Marsha did a fantastic job keeping track of tickets and sales. The money earned will help offset next years budget. Marsha called her as soon as the name was drawn and we all got to hear her excitement as she learned the news.

Congratulations Carla!
On speaker! Listening to the winner.
A happy winner!

Bonnie brought the second Block of the Month pattern. We have a good group making them.

Looks like last months block's made a lot of people happy
A great group effort!

It was also decided at the meeting to change our bylaws to read that the board and officers will serve a two year term. It was a unanimous yes vote.

Karen showed us the quilts that were made from the last month meeting. We learned all types of ways to use 2 1/2" strips and turn them into blocks. Here are three quilts that were made from some of those blocks.

Pat has just gone crazy making charity quilts. She surprised us with five more quilts to add to the growing collection!
