May Guild Meeting Program presents Martha Wolf

About Martha:
I’ve been quilting for almost 30 years, and teaching/lecturing about quilting since 2006 in the greater Metroplex area.
I’ve been involved with the Dallas Quilt show since 1999, and have learned a lot about different shows and how things work and a lot of info as to what judges look for at the shows.

Please feel free to share and encourage the ladies to bring a friend in May. ALL ARE WELCOME

February 11th Guild Meeting Program:

*****************************************

Have you seen the new Barn Quilt Square on the sign post at the Civic Center? The Farmersville Quilt Guild is starting a Barn Quilt Trail in our town and to celebrate this new initiative we have invited Suzi Parron, author and speaker, for two community events that you won't want to miss! First, Suzi will present a talk about Barn Quilts on Tuesday, March 10 at 7PM at the Farmersville Civic Center. Her interest in quilting history has led her on a cross-country adventure where she has documented the Quilt Trails in two books. "Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail Movement," was published by Ohio University Press in 2012 and it's success led to a second book, "Following the Barn Quilt Trail," which was published in April of 2016. The Farmersville Quilt Guild will be donating copies of these two books to Rike Memorial Library in Farmersville. While this event is free we encourage you to RSVP as space is limited.

On Tuesday morning, March 11 Suzi will lead a barn quilt painting workshop for $45. The workshop, which lasts 4 - 5 hours will be held at the Civic Center, and will begin at 9:00AM. At the completion of the class you will have a 2 X 2 quilt square ready for hanging. Suzi's workshops have added over three thousand quilt blocks to Quilt Trails from California to Massachusetts! Space is limited so please reserve your spot by contacting Elizabeth of the Farmersville Quilt Guild
