August is Brown Bag Derby Month!

August 13th, 2-019 Guild Meeting

Good Morning ladies,
Sandy & I are really excited to share with you about our August Meeting ???Brown Bag Derby???.  It???s going to be so much fun! We will be working in teams of 3. (And hope to have at least 8 teams participating if not more)
Each team will consist of:
1 sewer (who will bring their machine & extra wound bobbins ??? white thread)
1 Presser (who will bring their iron and a small pressing mat)
1 cutter (who will bring their favorite rotary cutter, a small pair of scissors, and a small cutting mat & ruler to handle a 5??? square)
We plan to speed right through all the business at hand that our wonderful President Kathy will have to cover, and get right into the heart of the competition, I mean fun!!
Stations will be set up and ready for each team. All instruction will be provided at the meeting along with a brown bag of cut squares for each team to use.
Here is what we need for you to do.  If you will please respond back to this email and let me know which position you would like to be on a team, Sandy and I
will get the teams created.  Prior to the meeting we will send out the list of teams so you have ample time to know who your fellow team mates will be for the evening of fun
and can set up prior to the meeting at your teams designated station.
The Prize???we will create at least 4 quilt tops by the end of the evening!!! (no this is not an all-nighter, we plan to leave at 9 as usual)
Looking forward to hearing from you.  Oh and if you know there is a member or members that aren???t getting email, please let me know.
I???ll be happy to contact them by phone.
