Happy Thursday!

We're excited to announce our Fall Retreat! We will be travelling to Fannin County to experience their Barn Quilt Trail. Rather than renting a bus we thought it would be more fun to have a few designated drivers and then throughout the day we'll host a Chinese Quilting Bee where all riders will change vehicles so that we can fellowship with each other!

Check out the details and then please let us know if you will be joining us. Also, we need to know who would be willing to drive. Please RSVP by our meeting on October 9 or sooner!

(Guild member). The funds that are raised are used to help support the Veterans, Police and Fire Fighters. The Guild received a donation from the Charity to support our efforts with QOV. The Guild will be presenting a QOV at the event and look forward to recognizing the efforts made by our members. This is being posted on the blog to make our members aware of the event and to let them know they are welcome to participate if they would like to.

This is an  warning for all the quilters out there.

Everyone does it but DO NOT PUT YOUR
pins in your mouth!!
I just returned from spending 24 hours at the hospital cause I put a pin in my mouth and it ended up down my throat after I inhaled quickly. By the time the emergency room doctor saw me it had moved too far down to retrieve by endoscopy. After 22 hours of X-rays, cat scans and several surgical consults, I was discharged to go home and hopefully the pin will move on out naturally. If it becomes embedded along the way then I will need emergency surgery. Please do not make the mistake that I did!

But I did go home and finish my squares! Lol  (from a friend on FB)
