GREETINGS GUILD LADIES & Gentleman!!!!
Our October Meeting is full of Halloween Surprises!!
1st Lesa has stepped down as our President. So, as VP I step into her spot.
2nd Ann C has stepped up with the nomination from the Board, to be the V.P.
Ladies you are going to vote YEA or NEA or NOMINATE SOMEONE ELSE.
3rd Kathy W., Treasurer, Pat P. Secretary, me - Donna B. President have all been sworn in during a Board Zoom Meeting.
4th Debi/JR has made sure we have our dates for meetings/QOV work Sat./ Thurs Sit N Sew/ Community Sew.
5th Kathy W has made those dates into an easy to read fun calendar & will bring them to our meeting next Tues. Also PLEASE bring your Guild Dues to the meeting, $25 ( Debi/JR membership).
6th Ann, our new V.P., has an awesome October Program for us!!!
An Easy FUN FALL WALL HANGING. All ya'll need to bring to the meeting is your OWN scissors. Ann has provided kits for us all!! It just needs a little hand sewing to make it complete.
7th NOW AS TO HOW OUR MEETING WILL BE HELD.
A. We will follow CDC - COVID Guidelines/procedures.
B. We will be spaced out at tables (6ft apart), where tape is located. Please get /return your own chair.
C. Everyone will come wearing a mask, using hand sanitizer when they come in to sign in.
D. No Refreshments - BYO - so we can keep people safe from any contamination.
E. Yes we will have Show N Tell!! So please bring your projects.
F. Please understand that this is a work in progress!!!
8th We need an AUDIT COMMITTEE to do last years financials. Maybe a couple of you lovely ladies (who might be coming to the QOV Saturday which will start at 12pm) could do the Guild a solid & meet with Kathy( she can guide the process). PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT. I'll be asking for 2 volunteers!!!
9th Our November Program is usually our QOV PRESENTATION. Barb has informed me the the church doesn't feel comfortable in having it. So Barb has graciously continue/ will do individual presentations. ALSO please bring your QOV dues to this October meeting.
Barb has already paid for us thru the Guild and we need to repay the Guild.
So, in place of QOV we have a presentation from Sherry Worley (Cotton Patch Guild, Greenville). She will be demonstrating /speaking on NEEDLE PUNCH EMBRODERY.
She will have some of her things there for sale. ( Easy Christmas presents!!)
10th December is usually our feast of a Christmas Party. Well thanks to COVID it will be (again) BYO. BUT, our wonderful V.P. Ann is going to delight us with 2-3 games ( bring your own pencils & paper). Ann & I believe we all have been so creative this year that our
GIFT EXCHANGE will be a CREATIVE HANDMADE GIFT that can fit into a paper lunch bag! AND when the bags are put on the table Ann will write a number on it. Once it is opened, we will have a vote/ a judge decide on 1st, 2nd, 3rd place for creativity. Then the creators can tell us who they are!!! IDEAS ARE: ornaments, potholder, coasters, hot pads, etc.!!! Use your scraps & creativity to make something fabulous that can fit into a paper lunch bag!!
11th Our Committee people will say a few words at the meeting (5min)
Raffle Quilt - Sherri G QOV - Barb & Kathy
Barn Quilt - Elizabeth Hospitality - Terry
Community Service - Pat P. & JR Door Prizes - Terry & Karen

Got this from Mary Berry:
I have a brand new Accuquilt Go Me cutter that I don’t need. If there is someone in the Quilting Guild that is interested in having it, I would sell it for $75 (half current retail). Please let your members know. It’s going to sit around here and gather dust!
